The SHANNON MUIR’S INFINITE HOUSE OF BOOKS column on Mondays and Wednesdays is a place at Shannon Muir’s author website open to interviews and guest posts from other authors. One thing Shannon firmly believes in for readers not only to learn about new books available, but about those who craft the tales behind them. As its name implies, SHANNON MUIR’S INFINITE HOUSE OF BOOKS weekly column features writers from all genres of fiction who want their potential audience to get to know them, and their works, better – and occasionally may offer features from Shannon herself that support readers to discover words.
Today, find out more about the promotional month events going on at Pro Se Productions, the publisher for several of Shannon Muir’s short stories including “Pretty as a Picture” (in the anthology NEWSHOUNDS), “Tragic as a Torch Song” (in the anthology THE DAME DID IT), “Hidden History” (in the anthology EXPLORER PULP), “Tropical Terror” (in the anthology CRIME DOWN ISLAND), and the stand alone digital short story “Ghost of the Airwaves” . These anthologies – and others available – include additional authors for readers to discover and enjoy.
Publishing the best in pulp and genre fiction since 2011, Pro Se Productions is the home to over 300 titles and authors who aim to tell innovative stories on the cutting edge of Genre Fiction. From Westerns to Mysteries to Fantasy to Genres of its own making, Pro Se provides readers with selection and excitement unparalleled by any other publisher, large or small.
And in July 2018, Pro Se Productions means to let even more people know what it has to offer.
“July 2018,” says Tommy Hancock, Partner in and Editor in Chief of Pro Se Productions, “has been set aside as Pro Se Month, a chance for us to not only promote what we have coming out and coming up, but also the work that has been the foundation of Pro Se from the beginning. Every day in July, we will be promoting past works, debuting new works, one a day for the entire month, and making announcements about new anthologies, also one a day for the month, as well as upcoming projects of all types.
“The publishing industry,” says Hancock, “has been an up and down journey, especially lately, and Pro Se has experienced some of that. This month of promotion, though, isn’t just to boost sales, although we hope it does just that. What we want to do in July is reinvigorate Pro Se with its readers and within ourselves as well. We’ve had a reputation for being a maverick of sorts, going places a lot of publishers wouldn’t go and taking chances with both authors and concepts others wouldn’t consider for whatever reason. And we’ve never really stopped that, but it’s time we put the focus back on being the publisher who goes off on tangents that readers explore and enjoy. To be different again, not for the sake of being different or just to stand out, but because that is what Pro Se is. Something different.”
Beginning July 1, Pro Se Productions will feature three different types of releases/announcements daily on both its Facebook page-www.facebook.com/
These releases will also be announced on Pro Se’s newsletter, going to a daily feed for the month of July. Subscribe at http://prose-press.com/
Pro Se’s Facebook page will also be featuring give aways and contests exclusive to that page frequently throughout the month.
“If you’re a fan of Pro Se,” Hancock says, “then this is the month for you. If you’re a new reader, someone wanting to find the best in Genre Fiction, then July is also a good time for you. And, let me say this. What we’re doing in July is not a one and done thing. This month will set the tone for the level and type of promotion Pro Se will be doing from now on, taking what is different about us right to the readers.”
