One of the most amazing things about finishing the book is getting to read the reviews after the fact. Well, I should say, it’s both terrifying and exciting. I’ve spent months holed up in a corner of a room plotting, typing, and at times pulling my crazy curls out of my skull. All that time, energy, lack of sleep, and effort feels like every single person should sing my praises for a brilliant finished piece, right? Mostly!

My book debuted on November 23, 2018 and I anxiously told myself I would wait a full month before looking at reviews. Give people a chance to read and review it! This is what my fickle inner voice kept chanting, but my fingers finally deceived that pesky voice on Saturday, November 8, 2018 as I opened my Goodreads account. To my surprise I found more reviews than I thought I would have and my rating was WAY better than I would have given myself—I’m my own worst critic! People I’ve never heard of or met or even know in the “cyber-world” are marking “to-be-read” left and right—they are rating me four out five and five out five stars. They are taking their precious gifted time (which none of us really have—right?) to take time to write a review about my story! They are liking it! REALLY liking it! They are figuring out the themes I thought of as I wrote the story! They want to be friends with my characters and live in my cozy little world! Good Lord! They love me!  Well, maybe I’m being a bit dramatic . . . but hey, I am an author, right?

Thanks for having me!

Hisses and Blisses!

Thanks SO much for having me on your blog! I truly appreciate it! Everyone has been so warm, kind, and helpful! Ironically, as I talked about critics and reviews, I re-read my guest post to find a mistake I made (cough, cough) I meant it was “December 8th” when I finally broke down to read the reviews. LOL! I am SO not perfect:)

    Happy holidays to everyone!
