Passion of a Crime Writer
By Tiffany Christina Lewis
My name is Tiffany and I am addicted to learning.
Learning has been my passion for over 10 years. During that time, I wrote a book (Inside Out), had a baby, and got four degrees (two in Early Childhood Education (AA), one in Business (BA) and one in Communications (MA)), and moved from California to Arizona and back again.
Am I done getting degrees? Who knows. I am eye balling that PhD, but who knows… Regardless of formal education, I will never be done learning. I am obsessed with learning. My Google tabs are always over flowing with articles about writing and research for my works, I read paperbacks and listen to audio books relentlessly and I network with other like-minded individuals who are willing to share knowledge.
My love of learning has been a blessing and a curse. The need to know can be intense but I can also help so many people with my knowledge. I also have a bit of a problem understanding those who do not wish to learn more. I definitely have to remember that although I find great joy in knowing more, it is not an inherent part of life for people to crave knowledge the way I do.
All and all, I feel that knowing has enhanced my life and my work. The sequel to my 2014 debut novella Inside Out has only released been released this year. What a difference my personal studies have made! Not to mention, reading academic texts and talking to other students has taught me a lot about grammar and readers interests.
Tiffany is an author of Crime Fiction, continuous supporter of her fellow writers, and humble to all of her readers.
