BEYOND THE SHELF is general commentary about the blog or the mystery and crime writing business by author and site administrator Shannon Muir that doesn’t fall in the scope of a regular column. These are special columns running at the end of the year. The topic today focuses on looking back at where Shannon has come from this year.

It’s been a fairly turbulent road, both personally and professionally. I’m glad I’ve been able to stay on top of most things, though I’ll be the first to admit it has been far from perfect.
