BEYOND THE SHELF is general commentary about the blog or the mystery and crime writing business by author and site administrator Shannon Muir that doesn’t fall in the scope of a regular column. This week’s topic focuses on taking time to learn to make writing better.

WATCH FOR PART 13 OF 14 OF “SHINING A LIGHT ON CRIME” TO RESUME ON APRIL 13, 2019. SORRY FOR THE INTERRUPTION!

For those of you wondering why SHORTS FROM THE SHELF went on hiatus for a bit, here’s the deal.

An opportunity came up for me to do a short term class on how to work on improving my writing of crime scenes.

I didn’t feel I could do my best in that class while also juggling SHORTS FROM THE SHELF.

Hopefully, your trade-off in waiting for me to wrap up the story in progress is that it will make me a better writer.

Thank you, as always, for all your support.

Shannon
