BEYOND THE SHELF is general commentary about the blog or the mystery and crime writing business by author and site administrator Shannon Muir that doesn’t fall in the scope of a regular column. Today is a notice about books available starting next week in a Smashwords coupon promo.

Please note that this blog will be cutting back to Monday – Wednesday – Friday postings beginning February 22nd, after the FALLING IN LOVE WITH MYSTERY special run that is scheduled the week before that will also run Monday – Wednesday – Friday but only feature mysteries.

MONDAYS will be mysteries of various types and well as the occasional crime and suspense novel. It will not however be branded as such.

WEDNESDAYS will remain mysteries of any genre.

FRIDAYS will continue to feature science fiction and fantasy.

This schedule will remain in place for the foreseeable future, to be re-evaluated this summer. Right now there is too much going on to maintain five days a week. However, I will do my best to commit to all previously scheduled posts before February 22nd in the Monday through Friday format.

For the next several weeks, expect special BEYOND THE SHELF columns on Wednesdays, with the exception of a couple weeks where blog tours were previously booked for Wednesday slots.
